November Prayer Letter

November 2014

Dear Pastor and Friends,

We have so much to praise the Lord for these last few months. I had a check up on my kidneys and the doctor told me my kidneys are improving. That alone is a great answer to prayer. Please keep praying for my strength, as I will have a very busy schedule this month and really need my energy to improve.

Another great blessing has been that we have seen 217 people saved, 56 baptized and churches started through our ministry the past couple months.  I do have a prayer request that is close to my heart right now. We helped ship a container to South Uganda and we need it to arrive without any interference. This container has thousands of tracts, hundreds of Bibles and other helpful materials for national pastors and Christians. Once it has arrived safely, people from 6 other nations will have access to the materials sent. It is scheduled to arrive November 25th.

God has blessed my soul winning, preaching and raising finances for churches and missionaries. We have seen young people called into full-time service and others surrender to the mission field.  We’ve also been out soul winning and able to help win people to Christ.

Susie and I cannot express how much we appreciate the love, prayers and support that you have faithfully given to us over the past few months. Thank you so much for holding the rope.

September Prayer Letter

September 2014

Dear Pastor and Friends,

Many of you have been praying for me these past few months as I have had close to 10 surgeries on my kidneys for kidney stones and blockage. While doing x-rays, they also found a mass about the size of an orange. It is surrounded by five organs and it would be difficult to remove it. Praise God, it’s not cancerous and they will keep checking it and will drain it if it needs to be. I can't thank you enough for your prayers, love and concern for us during this time. I am still passing stones and will be under the care of the doctors for a while longer. Please pray that my kidneys will heal so I can continue to travel.

In spite of all of this, God has been working greatly in our ministry. We have had opportunities to witness to many doctors, nurses and other people in need. At the hospital there are always hurting people and those are often the one’s most open to the Gospel. When I was transferred from one hospital to another by ambulance, I was able to witness to a man who was a Jehovah’s Witness. God places needy people in front of us everywhere we go.

The past several months we have been helping national pastors in four different countries. In Northern Sudan they had 71 saved with 40 baptized, in the Congo they had 66 saved with 7 baptized, and in Northern Uganda they had 52 saved with 3 baptized. In the Philippines they had 35 at a Bible study with 21 saved. How exciting to see God at work in these young churches.

Praise the Lord; I am slowly getting back to traveling. On my last trip out, I was able to lead people to Christ at the airport, along the street and out soul winning with people from the church. On my most recent trip, I was in a mission’s conference and we had people saved, a young man surrender to the mission field and we were able to raise money to support new missionaries. Praise the Lord!

I just had a check up with the doctor yesterday and he told me the kidneys were improving and they would keep the stent in the right kidney for another month. Please continue to pray as my schedule is going to be very busy the next couple of months and for my strength to improve.

There is no way Susie and I could have made it through the last few months without your prayers, love and support. Only Heaven will reveal all that was accomplished with your help.

Your Missionaries,

Steve and Susie Heidenreich

Update

Dad had surgery this morning. They had to blast some more kidney stones because the right kidney was completely blocked again. They put a stent in and if all goes well he can go home in the morning. He will have follow up tests ran but praise the Lord he made it through another surgery. Each surgery takes more out of him and they are all beginning to wear on him. He had a very hard time coming out of recovery. The mass/cyst he has will be dealt with later this week. Thank you so much for your continued prayers, they mean all the world to us at this time!

Health Update

Dad had a rough time with the procedure yesterday. He was in intense pain and we ended up taking him to the ER this morning. He's been here all day. They are taking him by ambulance to another hospital and will do surgery tomorrow. They are putting in another stent and think that they punctured or perforated something when they sent the scope down his throat after the mass. They said the mass seems to be a cyst that is tucked behind his pancreas beside the kidney. They had to drain fluid from the cyst which is the size of orange. Please pray that whatever the problem, it's not too serious. He's very discouraged and really not excited about more surgery.

Health Update

I went to the doctor on Monday and they are concerned with the functioning of my kidneys. My kidney doctor that I've been seeing specializes more in the area of opening the kidneys and kidney stone. They are sending me to another specialist because he will deal more with helping the function of the kidneys. If the kidneys don't get functioning better I could end up on dialysis so we are trying everything we can. I have changed my diet and they are running more tests. I'm still passing stones and just praying the Lord will heal my kidneys so I can continue to travel across the world.
They will be working on the mass I have on August 14th. Thank you so very much for the continued prayers.
Our 3G Ministries is seeing people saved through the national pastors we are supporting. We are planning on supporting a pastor in Sudan, Africa and a pastor in Burma. Please keep these works and the finances for them in your prayers. Even though my health has slowed me down a bit, our ministry is still moving forward. Praise the Lord!

More Surgery

Dad doesn't want to bother everyone with his health. So I (Sandy) thought I'd throw out a prayer request for him. He had blood work and X-rays done on Monday and goes in for surgery again tomorrow morning.
This surgery is to make sure the stents are still helping. To also go in after some of the stones and also to see if they can figure out the mass that he has. The more stones they can get rid of the more it will help the functioning of the kidneys. He has many stones to pass.
He's doing good but hasn't been able to be out of the house except to the hospital and back. Pray for mom ...he's going stir crazy. He is homebound because he's passing so many stones, which is a good thing! I mowed his lawn for him a week ago and he doesn't want me to do it again so he said he would! Isn't he a funny one!
Thank you for praying for him! We are praying for the Lord to heal him quickly so he can get out there and travel. His heartbeat is to help reach our world for the Lord!

Dad is Home

Dad has been home from the hospital since Tuesday night. He went back to the doctor this morning for a procedure and he's doing better. He's eating and has rested really well since he's been home. He goes back on June 9th for prep for surgery and then the actual surgery will be on June 12th. He will have more stones lasered and they are predicting a 6 - 8 weeks of in and out of the hospital having the stones blasted. He will be home bound during this time and is having to cancel some meetings. Please pray that God touches his body and heals him and also takes care of them financially during this time.
We appreciate all of your love and concern. We have people wanting to text message him or send a card. If you need that information, just send a private message and we will get it to you.

Kidney Issues

I kindly ask you to pray for my dad, Bro. Heidenreich.   For the past several weeks has been having health difficulties with his kidneys. This health issue caused him to recently cancel a foreign trip, and has caused him extreme pain.
Yesterday, he went to the doctor to find out what he could do to help with the problem, and they scheduled a CAT scan for next Tuesday. When he got home, the doctors office called him back and told him they wanted to get him in for a scan that day because they felt there was more going on than just trying to pass kidney stones. After coming home from the CAT scan, the doctor called and told him they wanted to immediately have surgery to remove several stones.
A urologist came in to the hospital for the sole purpose of seeing Bro. Heidenreich. We were told that he has several kidney stones, the two smallest are 8mm and 13mm. They said that he has several kidney stones that are twice that size, and that there are so many stones that they have been forced into his bladder. He also has an infection in the kidneys.
Today at 9am, he went into surgery to have 2 stents put in to help the kidney infection. Due to one kidney being blocked, they could not get the one stent in, which means he will go back into surgery later today to have a tube put into his back to drain the kidneys. Once the infection is gone, then they will go in and blast the kidney stones.
We were also informed that they discovered a mass on the main artery that goes from the heart to the leg. They won’t be able to work on that until the kidney infection is gone.
Please pray for Bro. Heidenreich that the kidney infection will dissipate and that the mass on the artery is not serious. The family appreciates the texts of concern we have already received. We will keep you updated as to his condition.

Thank You For Praying!

I've had several emails, texts and calls to see how I'm doing with my kidney stones.  This past week has been a very painful week, I have passed 8 stones and we feel there are more stones still coming.  Please pray I can keep passing them and I don't need to go to the hospital because they can't be passed.

God has been so good to bless those that went on the trip to Africa.  They are seeing people saved and baptized daily.
The people there have been receiving the Bibles we sent and they are so happy that people here cared enough to send them.  I wish I could have gone but God knows what He is
doing.

I really want to thank all of you who made this trip possible and to those who are praying for me!

Trip to Africa ~ Please Pray!

PLEASE PRAY!
I'm a bit disappointed this morning...  I won't be able to make the trip to Africa tomorrow morning.  I woke up in the night with a kidney attack and passing a lot of blood. I've been advised not to make the trip because we are going into remote villages and medical help may not be available.

I know God is going to do a lot on this trip.  We have bought many Bibles, prepared tracts, printed materials and other resources for those going. I want to thank those that invested in this trip.  You will still have a great part in these villages receiving the Gospel through the suitcases of things being sent.

Please pray that God will do a great work through those that are going. I'm having some tests ran so I'm having my daughter, Sandy Domelle, post this message for me.

Trip to South Africa

We've been asked to go to South Africa to help a national pastor reach some remote villages in his area with the Gospel.  God has been blessing us with so many of the things that will be needed for this trip.  Please continue to pray for our safety as we go.  We will be there April 17-30th.  The national pastor contacted us and said he and his members are working hard at preparing places for us to preach the Gospel.  We will be going into schools, villages, and holding soul winning and leadership services.  Please be praying for this trip because it looks like it is expanding into two or three other bordering countries.  The opportunities are great and we need the Lord to intervene and I need physical strength.  I really need you to be a part of this trip.

December 2013 Prayer Letter

December 2013

What an exciting month we’ve had in serving the Lord! We had a great Missions revival with Pastor Paul Arcand and the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Pasadena, Maryland. Bro Arcand has been a great friend for many years, and I always enjoy the opportunity to be with him, his family and church people. There was a great turnout for the Friday night service with the missionaries who were there. We also had many out for our soul winning meeting on Saturday morning with people saved.

We had the joy of being with Pastor Zappa and the Union Grove Baptist Church. My wife and I really enjoyed fellowshipping with the sweet people of this church. They were so friendly and really a blessing. This church has a heart for missions. It was a pleasure to preach and share our heart about what God is doing with us around the world.

I was also with Pastor Patrick Heuveline and the Twin City Baptist Church in Brewer, Maine for their Mission's Conference. They had an outstanding banquet on Saturday night in which their ladies decorated each of the tables from different countries. The people were so excited; and what great food we had! It’s always exciting to go back to churches and see the excitement they have in reaching their area for Him.

Many of you know about Typhoon Yolanda that went through the Philippines. We have our children and grandchildren as missionaries living there. We were very concerned because the eye of the storm went right through the area where they are living. We weren’t able to get in contact with them, but after three days we heard they were safe! Sometimes being the parents and grandparents can be challenging! Some of their buildings were damaged, and the roof on the church needs repaired. They went about a month without electricity, but this past week had that restored. We are so thankful to the Lord for meeting that need.

Susie and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas. Because of all your prayers, love and support, thousands were saved and hundreds were baptized this year. It’s with great joy to know you are there holding the rope for us.

Your Missionaries,
The Heidenreich’s

Lighthouse Baptist Church ~ Pasadena, Maryland

November 15-17, 2013

What a great Missions Revival we had with Pastor Paul Arcand and the Lighthouse Baptist Church. There was a great turnout for the Friday night service with the missionaries.

We had a well attended soul winning meeting on Saturday morning.  Had a great time out with my soul winning partner and there were people saved.

Saturday night we had all the missionaries show their presentations. What a heart stirring time that was for the people watching what God had laid on the hearts of these precious missionaries. We also Skyed others missionaries around the world. That always adds so much to a Mission meeting!

Sunday services were outstanding and the people went way beyond anything we thought they could do. These dear people gave to so many mission projects and needs it was truly a Missions Revival!

Thank you Bro. Arcand and Lighthouse Baptist Church!!!

Our Family in the Philippines

We heard from Sam & Aileen and the grandkids.  They are safe!  They will be without power for at least 2 months.  Praying we can get them a generator!

Here are a few pictures from the damage that their church and buildings had from the storm.

Typhoon in the Philippines

Typhoon Yolanda has hit the Philippines! We have our children and grandchildren as missionaries living there.

It is one of the strongest typhoons in history. We are very concerned because the eye of the storm went right through the area where they are living. We haven't been able to be in contact with them. Sometimes being the parents and grand parents can be challenging. Please pray that they are safe!
